So far, Julia Kowalska has presented her intriguing, large-format paintings mainly individually, at the Young Art Auctions. At the exhibition in Xanadu, although the show is perhaps the more appropriate term, you will be able to see as many as 6 of the artist's canvases. They make up a coherent whole - this painting is characterized by a very specific, individual style, which the artist consistently develops. Julia Kowalska is just starting her studies at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw - we can only guess in what direction her art will continue to evolve.

Julia Kowalska initially painted herself. This is the obvious choice of a young author. You are a patient model for yourself. Currently, people from her immediate surroundings pose for her, and the content of the paintings is the interior and the surrounding reality. Nothing subversive, no big topics. Julia tells about the world of a young woman. A bit complicated, a bit fragmented excess of stimuli and sensations. However, there are no insurmountable problems in it. Her paintings are very intimate, although she looks at people in such a way that we know that they are the most important to her.

Julia Kowalska (ur. 1998 r.) absolwentka Ogólnokształcącej Szkoły Sztuk Pięknych im. Józefa Brandta w Radomiu. Dyplom ze specjalizacji ceramika artystyczna pod kierunkiem Aleksandry Dobrowolskiej w 2017 r. Obecnie studentka Malarstwa na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Laureatka wielu nagród w konkursach artystycznych, m.in.: Grand Prix w VII Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Plastycznym “Ekslibris, pierwiastek antyczny w twórczości Jacka Malczewskiego” (2015); Nagroda Dyrektora Wydziału Urbanistyki i Konserwacji w Zamościu w dziedzinie malarstwa (2015); wyróżnienie w Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Plastycznym “Wariacje na temat twórczości Ignacego Witkiewicza” (2015); Nagroda Prezydenta Miasta Radomia w kategorii osobowość za szczególne osiągnięcia artystyczne (2015); I miejsce w Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Plastycznym “W stronę fantazji i wyobraźni” dedykowanym Zdzisławowi Beksińskiemu (2016); III miejsce w Ogólnopolskim Konkursie Plastycznym “Ekslibris, Bajki, Baśnie i Legendy Polskie” (2017). W 2016 r. zajęła 51. miejsce w rankingu młodych polskich artystów Kompas Młodej Sztuki. Autorka indywidualnej wystawy prac malarskich i rysunkowych w Zespole Szkół Muzycznych w Radomiu. Udział w wielu wystawach pokonkursowych: Figury Ciała (2014); Portret Rodzinny (2013); Pejzaż Ludzki (2012); Biennale autoportretu oraz w wystawie zbiorowej organizowanej w Parlamencie Europejskim w Brukseli przez Biuro Poselskie Julii Pitery (2017).
